How a parasite lives

A parasite is a coin quoted in another coin, its host. You buy it with the host token, and every trade pays its fee in the host token. Half of that fee is burned out of the host's supply.

01Overview

Host: any pump.fun coin with at least 20 SOL of real SOL on its curve or pool, registered once by anyone. A parasite launched here can itself become a host, down to depth 3.

Parasite: a coin launched by the program on Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve with the host as the quote token. 1B supply, 6 decimals, Token-2022, no mint or freeze authority, metadata immutable.

Feed: anyone can push a parasite's collected fees through the program. It burns 50% of them from the host's supply, books 30% to the parasite's dev and pays 20% to the treasury, in one instruction.

StageWhat happensWho
RegisterA pump.fun coin becomes a host. The program checks the mint is a plain mint (no freeze authority, transfer fee, hook or delegate) and reads its liquidity.anyone
ObserveThe host's price is read once a minute into a 16-slot ring. A reading moves at most 10% from the recent median.anyone (keeper)
Host configOnce 5 readings agree within 9%, the host gets its Meteora curve config: graduation at 40 SOL worth of host tokens at the median.anyone (keeper)
InoculateThe dev launches a parasite on the host, with an optional first buy in host tokens.dev
TradeEveryone trades the parasite on the curve against the host token. The 1% fee is kept in the host token.traders
FeedFees are claimed from Meteora and split: burn, dev, treasury.anyone (keeper)
GraduateAt the threshold the curve migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool, 100% of the LP locked to the program forever. LP fees keep feeding the host.anyone (keeper)
ClaimThe dev share goes to the dev's wallet, in the host token.anyone pushes, only the dev receives

02Routes: trading needs the host

A parasite has no SOL pool. To buy it you first hold its host. The site does every hop for you, one signed swap per hop:

  1. SOL
  2. $GRUMPpump.fun
  3. $FLEAMeteora curve
  1. SOL
  2. $GRUMPpump.fun
  3. $FLEAcurve
  4. $MITEcurve
  5. $FLUKEcurve

03Launch, step by step

  1. Pick a host that shows "depth n". A host still collecting price readings shows "warming up".
  2. Name (up to 32 bytes), ticker (1-10 letters or digits), picture. The picture and metadata go to IPFS; the program accepts only IPFS links.
  3. First buy: none, or a share of the host tokens you hold. The launch fee is 2.5% of the first buy, in host tokens, on top of it. No first buy, no fee.
  4. One transaction creates the Meteora pool (you are its creator), makes the first buy, pays the fee and records the parasite. It must be alone in its transaction, so nobody can bundle a snipe in front of your first buy.
Worked example. You hold 1,025,000 $GRUMP and pick a first buy of 1,000,000. The fee is 1,000,000 x 2.5% = 25,000 $GRUMP to the treasury, the other 1,000,000 buys $FLEA on its curve. Your wallet sends exactly 1,025,000.

04Fees and the burn

Every trade on a parasite's curve pays 1% in the host token. Meteora keeps 20% of every trading fee as its protocol fee; the program claims the other 80% and splits it:

Share of the claimed feeGoes toHow
50%nobodyToken-2022 burn from the program's pass-through account: the host's supply shrinks for good
30%the parasite's devbooked in the host vault, claimable any time, only to the dev
20%treasurypaid at feed time (rounding dust also goes here)
Worked example. A trade of 1,000,000 $GRUMP into $FLEA pays 10,000 $GRUMP in fees. Meteora keeps 2,000. The feed claims 8,000: 4,000 $GRUMP burned, 2,400 to the $FLEA dev, 1,600 to the treasury.

Why burn and not lock: a burn is the only irreversible, publicly checkable way to feed a host. A lock can be undone by whoever governs it; a burn shows on every explorer as a lower supply. Hosts that cannot be burned (freeze authority, transfer fee, hooks, permanent delegate, any extension except metadata) are refused at registration.

05Graduation

Each host has one curve config. It sets the graduation threshold at 40 SOL worth of host tokens at the host's median price (within 10%), capped at 20% of the host's supply. The price rises 16x from start to graduation; 20% of the parasite's supply migrates.

At the threshold anyone runs Meteora's migration into a DAMM v2 pool (parasite / host). 100% of the LP is locked to the program's feeder account with no withdraw path. Nobody can create that pool first: only Meteora's pool authority can. After graduation the locked LP's fees (in the host token) are fed exactly like curve fees.

If a host's price moves 2x, a new config can replace the stale one for new launches. Existing parasites keep the config they launched with.

Constants: price readings at most one per 60 s, 5 readings for a median, readings older than 30 min ignored, a reading moves at most 10%, config needs readings spanning 4 min within 9%, a feed needs at least 1,000 host base units waiting. Params are copied into every parasite at launch; a later change never touches it.

11FAQ

Why would a host holder like this?

Every parasite that trades burns their coin. The host needs to do nothing.

Can I launch a parasite of a parasite?

Yes, once the parasite is registered as a host and has its price readings, down to depth 3. Its fees then burn the parasite it lives on.

Where is my dev share?

In the host token, booked to you at every feed. "Mine" shows it; one button claims everything.

What happens if the site goes down?

Nothing on chain changes. The pools trade on Meteora, the feeds and claims are open instructions anyone can send.
